The incident took place around 8:11 a.m., Monday, June 14, in Norwalk.
Police responded to numerous 911 calls that a man was lying on Selleck Street and was unresponsive, said Norwalk PD Sgt. Sofia Gulino.
Officers immediately responded to the area and located a man who was dead, she said.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the man had jumped from the roof of a building on the street to his death.
At this time the identity of the man is not being shared, as police officers are in the process of notifying next of kin.
"We urge anyone who is having thoughts of suicide to reach out – there is help available," Gulino said.
